A Little Kid Carries a Portal Between Two Worlds, Bringing Ancestors Back to See the Mortal Realm

[Everyday life + adorable kids + love of country + travel between ancient and modern times + tearjerker + no romance]

Three-and-a-half-year-old Su Xiaotang unexpectedly became bound to the “Prosperous China Witness System.”

The System told her that if she went through the door at home, she could invite the historical figures who had left unfinished business back for a three-day visit.

Xiaotang blinked her big eyes at the uncle standing before her, his armor battered and his face weathered. He said his name was “Qi Jiguang.”

She toddled over on her little legs and handed him a cup of warm milk. “Don’t cry, Uncle. This is sweet water from 2026.”

…

When Qi Jiguang stood by the sea and looked at the imposing aircraft carrier fleet, tears burned in his eyes. “Where are the Japanese pirates? Are the shores of our China safe?”

When Yue Fei saw the complete map of China and the bustling traffic in the north, he trembled and cried out, “Is this… the world after we’ve marched straight to Huanglong?”

When Huo Qubing rode a high-speed train traveling at 350 kilometers per hour and touched a main battle tank, his spirits soared. “With cavalry like this, what could the Xiongnu possibly threaten us with?”

When Deng Shichang boarded a domestically built aircraft carrier and stroked its carrier-based aircraft, he wept uncontrollably. “In this life… I have no regrets!”

There are no immortal spells here, only an adorable three-year-old holding the hands of her forebears as she shows them the splendor of this prosperous age.

A bowl of braised pork, a paved road, a peaceful night’s sleep.

This is the prosperous age you dreamed of.
