The story is set in the small town high school of "Laughing in Youth", and depicts the ups and downs of four boys and girls with distinctive styles in their three years of youth: from the ignorant adaptation in the first year of high school, to the interpersonal conflicts and ideal struggles in the second year of high school, to the college entrance examination and their respective growth points in the third year of high school. The main line is connected from Lu Xiaoshu's perspective, interspersing the partners' respective families, emotions and dreams, differences and reconciliation. It uses relaxed and humorous daily life, humorous dialogues, and compact events to narrate the confusion, conflicts, choices, and epiphanies of youth. Finally, in the graduation season, the four of them embraced their own futures in different ways, looking back at their youthful years with a lot of emotion.
