Chainsaw: I Was Reborn Though I Had No Future

(Almost expressionless)

Makima: Big sister.

Pochita: Mm.

Kiga: I want my little sister by my side.

Pochita: Mm.

Kishibe...

Pochita: Mm.

If you need me, I'll be by your side. I don't think much of it. If you ask whether I have any thoughts of my own, I don't know... I just do what I want on instinct.

In the second decade of the 21st century, a virulent disease suddenly broke out. I was unlucky enough to catch it. Lying weakly in bed as my body steadily deteriorated, I realized I had no future... So I killed myself.

My consciousness arrived in an unknown white realm. When I blinked, I found I was alive, sitting on a branch of a mulberry tree. I saw a reflection in the river...

"Was I saved? That's wonderful..."

My breathing had never felt so easy. "Do I have a future now?" I stared intently at my reflection on the water...

If you need me, perhaps I'll be by your side. I need somewhere I can belong...?
