After a righteous sect's undercover agent and a demonic cult's undercover agent start hearing each other's thoughts, they join forces to scam the entire cultivation world for their year-end bonuses.
Xie Wuwang is the universally acclaimed beacon of righteousness in the cultivation world: aloof and celibate, his sword frost-cold across fourteen provinces.
In reality, he's an ace undercover agent who has spent ten years infiltrating the Demon Lord's ranks. His codename is "Top Seller," and his motto is: "If I can slack off, I won't stand guard. If I can put it on expenses, I won't pay out of pocket."
He planned to get through the year, collect his retirement pay, and make a run for it. But disaster struck during his final mission to hunt down the demonic cult's Saintess.
Shen Li is a notorious temptress of the Hehuan Sect, beguiling all and killing without mercy.
In reality, she's a top agent dispatched by the Immortal Alliance's "Heavenly Net," codename 007. Every day, she agonizes over whether to file a complaint against her superiors for making her wear work clothes that expose her waist.
After an accident sends them both tumbling off a cliff, they fall under the effects of a "Soulbinding Gu." From then on, they're bound together and can hear each other's thoughts.
What a pair of "misfortunate mandarin ducks"
