The Canglan Continent is a vast and boundless land, home to seventy percent of the living beings in the Lingyun Realm. It stretches 120,000 li from east to west and 100,000 li from north to south, covering roughly 120 million square kilometers. Beyond the continent, four great seas are connected across a total area of about 20 million square kilometers. And beyond this known world, another forty percent of the land lies shrouded in legend and mist, untouched by human feet.
This is a world not yet fully explored.
The human race rules this continent. Five billion ordinary people and one hundred million Lingyun-born people live across its thirty-six provinces, under the rule of an empire called Dahong. But humans are not the only masters of this land.
On the northern Frost Plains, the Frostfang Tribe lives alongside frost wolves. At the wolf lord's howl, a thousand wolves thunder across the plains. In the western Firelands, the Flame Cavern people tame fire serpents, and their cities lie amid rivers of magma. In the depths of the Eastern Sea, flood dragons make their lairs, while Dragon King Ao Guang rules thousands of miles of ocean. In the southern frontier's jungles, the Five Poisons Cult is renowned for its gu arts, and demonic beasts roam Beast King Valley.
The demon race, sea race, barbarian race, and spirit race, together with the human race, make up this colorful and perilous world.
Lingyun aptitude is the foundation of cultivation.
Those with superior aptitude are as rare as phoenix feathers and can make a thousand miles of progress in a single day. Those with middling aptitude are one in a hundred and can become pillars of great clans. Those with inferior aptitude make up about one-tenth of the population and can barely step onto the path of cultivation. The remaining ninety percent of ordinary people can never sense Lingyun in their lifetime. They can only look up at cultivators who soar through the skies and turn rivers and seas upside down.
This is a world where one's fate is determined by one's Lingyun aptitude.
Cultivation has seven successive realms: Spirit Awakening, Sensory Attunement, Object Control, Form Transformation, Profound Insight, True Unity, and Oneness.
