My 26-Year-Old Female Roommate: Part 2

The misty rain of Suzhou drifts over the bluestone paths of Pingjiang Road, and over the dawn when Zhaoyang and Micai meet again. A night of rain washes away the clamor. By the wooden windows of an old house, he in a suit embraces her in a white shirt. The scent of gardenias mingles with the lingering warmth of daily life, as if the business battles and separations of life and death in their past were nothing but reflections in water and flowers in a mirror. He once thought that pledging himself to this cool yet gentle landlady would be his final destination, never knowing that the rain of Jiangnan nurtures more than tenderness. When a familiar phone call shatters the morning quiet, buried memories and lurking dangers abruptly surface. Seven formidable older women enter the scene one after another. Some carry old grudges, others cling to obsessions, and all of them become entangled with Zhaoyang's life once more. The engine of a Cadillac CT5 cuts through the rain as a game of love and power between mature men and women quietly begins. Will he hold fast to his fated bond with Micai, or rediscover himself amid complicated relationships? In mist-shrouded Suzhou, mature love has its sharp edges, and under the gentle facade, undercurrents surge. Zhaoyang will struggle in the whirlpool of family, love, and career, with every choice shaping the course of the rest of his life. This bond spanning the years will finally settle into its most fervent answer amid the rain and mist of Jiangnan.
