Also known as: The Fake Con Man Pretends to Be a Big Shot in Apocalypse Game Instances
[No CP | Horror | Instances | Transmigrate into a Book | System | Unconventional Wasteland Apocalypse, Horror Game]
The infinite game descended on the world more than two hundred years ago. The world has ended, and people struggle to survive in its instances.
Shi Cheng is nothing like his name suggests. He’s spent his whole life cheating and swindling, and he’s so unlucky that even a lottery draw can give him the one defective ball. When he inexplicably has a change of heart and saves someone, he ends up getting himself killed.
When he opens his eyes again, he’s transmigrated into an infinite-apocalypse novel with an absurdly distorted technology tree, and bound to an Emotion Value System. As long as he can milk the characters in the book for their emotions, he can exchange them for supplies, items, or anything else.
He can siphon away the protagonist’s luck from the cheap younger brother who stole his life in his previous existence. In this dusty world, he can make his own name known to everyone.
In this wasteland world with its absurdly distorted technology tree, he walks the line between good and evil, killing and saving people, deceiving ghosts and gods alike. He treats instances like ATMs and his enemies like entertainment.
Some people call him vicious and selfish, while others revere him as a saint who will save the world. Only the System knows the truth: its Host may not be completely bad, but he’s no clear-cut good guy either. His morality changes with a single thought, and his only bottom line is that he has to enjoy himself.
[The Nonexistent Room] Dear guest, there is only one way out. Find the secret here and leave with it, or you will stay with us forever.
[The Family Downstairs] The old lady is getting on in years and needs someone to look after her. Are you a tenant, or a hired worker?
The story opens with the apocalypse. The instances and horror elements begin in Chapter 12.
