The God of War Reborn: The Enemy Prince Is My Former Subordinate

The woman general Xie Wushuang is surrounded while defending the gates of her country, pierced through the heart by countless arrows. The last thing she sees is the blood-red sky reflected in the eyes of her deputy, Wei Zheng, her dearest friend. She wakes reborn in the cold palace of the enemy kingdom of Liang, in the body of a seven-year-old girl named Xiao Que. Her mother is a princess given in marriage who is cruelly bullied. She discovers that she has been “dead” for five years, and the world has changed beyond recognition. To protect her frail mother, she draws on her past-life experience and passes herself off as a child, outsmarting the cruel palace servants and defusing one crisis after another. In secret, she trains her frail new body. When her mother is forced to swallow poison, she instinctively unleashes a trace of the famed sword technique from her previous life, the “Startling Swan Form,” driving off the attackers. This draws a cold, scrutinizing gaze from beyond the cold palace: that of the third prince, Liang Yan. Liang Yan comes alone late that night and sends everyone else away, staring hard at her. After a long, frozen silence, he drops to one knee. His voice is hoarse and broken. “General Wushuang... Wei Zheng failed you... In this life, I swear to follow you to the death.”
