Chaos has not yet been divided, and in the first judgment of the Five Supreme Beings, a spirit is born from nothingness, named "Tao". Tao gives birth to one, gives birth to two, two gives birth to three, and three gives birth to all things. Among all things, three spirits are the most respected: the first is the Dao Spirit of Enlightenment, named the World Honored One; the second is the Dao Spirit of Qi, named Taishang; the third is the Dao Spirit of Knowledge, named the Benevolent King. The three spirits jointly control the order of Hongmeng. The awakened one realizes the emptiness of all phenomena, the Qi one controls the vitality of heaven and earth, and the knower understands the principles of the world.
