(The author has only watched Colonel videos, played Space Marine 2, Rogue Trader, and Vermintide, and read the Horus Heresy. I’m an armchair Warhammer 40K and Stellaris fan, so please bear with me. Feel free to point out any mistakes.)
When ordinary college student Lin Xing is arguing about “interstellar peace,” he shouts, “Die, heretics! Humanity above all!” The next second, he is thrown into hell: an alien mining world where humanity has fallen, and humans are reduced to “blood tithes” for the xenos.
Each day, he gets only one chance to draw. If he wants more resources, his only choice is to become humanity’s leader, its beacon, or even sit on the Golden Throne like the Emperor and claim that endless faith.
The first time he draws, the moment he gets a card from Warhammer 40K, the first spark of hope in the depths of despair is kindled.
While others are still fighting back with wooden clubs, his squad is already equipped with boltguns.
When xenos fleets blot out the sky, Space Marines descend from orbit.
When the Chaos Gods whisper and corrupt the hearts of men, the Battle Sisters’ hymns ring across the battlefield.
From the despairing universe of Warhammer 40K to the Koprulu Sector of StarCraft... The power of countless worlds will serve humanity. Let the galaxy burn until the universe is conquered.
“They say humanity should submit.” Lin Xing loads the last plasma round, with ranks of Imperial Guard stretching like mountains and seas behind him.
“But as long as I’m alive, humanity will never fall. The war is coming. Let the galaxy burn.”
It was too slow to get started. When I clicked on it, I already had no expectations. I wasted my time listening to it for so long and still didn't get to the point. I wanted to give it one star but couldn't stand it anymore. I'd better encourage the author. I was wrong. I skipped a few chapters quickly, hoping to catch the climax, but it didn't happen at all. As an article with the Emperor on the cover of a card drawing system, I couldn't see the Astartes in 40K Warhammer, and I didn't feel the system was exciting. It's just annoying. You're not fast, and you don't have a Warhammer character to keep people watching. Author, please take a look at your profile. What you describe is that it's fun to be a soldier. Who cares about how the protagonist grows? Still spending so much time procrastinating?
