Double Crossing to 1990: Trading a Lighter for Food from the Start

(Two-way transmigration + two-way transport of goods + hard-nosed business warfare. The key is using an information advantage to dominate both worlds, with no frustrating setbacks along the way.)

I woke up as another version of myself in a parallel world:

One of me was an unemployed young man in 2026, the other a student who had just gotten into university in 1990.

From then on, my life ran on two tracks:

In 1990, I was a business genius who could turn stone into gold.

I traded a lighter for grain coupons and saved an important man with a box of antibiotics.

Starting with a tiny grocery store, I built factories, launched a foreign-trade business, conquered Pudong, and took on Wall Street.

They called me the child of the times, never realizing I carried answers from the future in my pocket.

In 2026, I was an unfathomably wealthy man hiding in plain sight.

“Family heirlooms” stunned the auction houses, while “extinct” ingredients conquered the tables of the elite.

Starting with a nostalgic little grocery store, I played the capital markets, invested in technology, made moves in the energy sector, and took control of a financial empire.

They guessed I had powerful connections, never realizing my warehouse opened onto an innocent bygone era.

I used 2026 thinking to crush the business world of 1990 with an overwhelming advantage.

I used 1990 resources to seize control of the lifelines of 2026.

When the industries of the two eras finally formed a closed loop, I stood at the crossroads of time:

A business empire from the nineties in my left hand, a financial juggernaut of the twenty-first century in my right.

That’s when I realized I didn’t have to choose.

I wanted it all.
