[Synopsis of The Golden Hoop Era]
In Year 2999 of the Heavenly Crafts Era, the Haotian Furnace is about to go out, and the Three Realms teeter on the brink of collapse.
Sun Wukong, imprisoned for five hundred years, awakens beneath Five Elements Mountain and is told that he can regain his freedom by escorting the pilgrim to obtain the true scriptures.
But he soon discovers that:
The golden hoop doesn't just bind his head. It also seals the last “spark” of an ancient civilization.
The so-called true scriptures are actually a wipe program designed to format the existing world.
And the devout pilgrim is in fact a special agent dispatched by Heaven to keep watch on him.
This is no pilgrimage for scriptures, but a choice:
Should he carry out the mission and become the destroyer of civilization, or defy fate and seek a third path?
As the mechanical Celestial Court and the data-driven Buddhist kingdom treat humanity as a bargaining chip,
Only the Stone Monkey who once upended Heaven and Earth holds the power to rewrite an era.
This time, what he seeks is not scripture,
But the right for civilization to survive.
“If freedom means destruction, and obedience means nothingness...”
“Then I'll create a new world, one where ‘mistakes’ are allowed to exist.”
A science-fiction reimagining of classical mythology, and the ultimate question of civilization's survival.
