The Legend of the Origin of Eastern Fantasy

Gensokyo

Before its founding

There were feasts and music, days spent indulging in every pleasure, yet beneath it all lurked dark currents and cunning schemes, with everyone trapped by wealth and fame.

If life is as brief as a mayfly, born in the morning and dead by night, there is no time to take in all the beauty of this world, and one can only meet an abrupt end;

If life is as long as a river, stretching across a thousand years, one sees every joy and sorrow and grows accustomed to deceit and betrayal. In the end, the heart grows ever more resolute, while the original ideals fade. Looking back with a start, one finds they no longer recognize who they once were.

This is Gensokyo.

Everything began here.
