In Tokyo, I Landed as a Shrine Maiden

“Exorcising spirits? Saving the world? Give me a break. I just want to make money, pay off my mortgage, and then coast through life.”

After transmigrating into the miko of Tokyo’s poorest shrine, Tensui Rin awakens the “Money-Grubbing System.”

Spend money, and you can draw all kinds of bizarre items.

And so the whole tone of the story goes completely off the rails:

Other exorcists: They cultivate for twenty years, draw talismans, chant spells, and cough up three pints of blood.

Tensui Rin: She recharges her account with 10,000 yen and draws [100% Unarmed Blade Catch], making the Demon King kneel and sing “I Surrender.”

Other shrine maidens: Cool, noble, and above worldly concerns.

Tensui Rin: She clings to the wealthy young lady’s coattails and shamelessly begs, “Rich lady, I’m hungry. Feed me!”

Faced with all sorts of unreasonable demands from the young lady, Kujo Rinne, Tensui Rin puts on a righteous expression:

“Miss Kujo, please behave yourself! I serve the gods as a shrine maiden... What? Double pay? You got it, boss. What bedtime story would you like tonight?”

System rewards received: [Used Tissue]! [A stick completely covered in curry (Curry Stick)]! [Concept-level ability: Force the other person to dance to the Song of the Paradise]!

Lying in the young lady’s luxurious villa and looking at the strange items covering the room, Tensui Rin lets out the cry of a lazy fish:

“Sure, I swindle people, lie, and live off others, but I know I’m a good shrine maiden!”
