The Lucky Charm of the 1970s: My Foolish Wife Is Pregnant with a Baby

[Period + Beloved by the Whole Family + Secret Identity + Face-Slapping + Sweet Romance]

The Lin family of Shanghai lost their cherished little princess, Lin Wanqing. Five years later, she ends up in Shitang Commune, where she becomes the “foolish wife” Yang Laosan brought home. She’s even pregnant.

The villagers all laugh at Yang Zhiyong for marrying a simpleton who only knows how to eat candy. His second sister-in-law, Li Xiumei, goes out of her way to bully her and even tries to drive the heavily pregnant Lin Wanqing into the cowshed.

But though Lin Wanqing may be a little slow, her luck is out of this world!

She goes to play by the pond and finds specially supplied Maotai and gold bars!

She heads up the mountain to gather wild greens, and wild pheasants and rabbits line up to run into trees!

Then one day, a high-ranking official from the capital happens to see the “missing person note” in Lin Wanqing’s hand, which everyone had dismissed as scrap paper.

“Th-this is the youngest daughter of Chief Engineer Lin’s family, the one they’ve been searching everywhere for?!”

The news spreads, and Lin Wanqing’s seven brothers are thrown into an uproar! The eldest is a major general, the second is a diplomat, and the third is a billionaire…

When the people who once bullied Lin Wanqing see the helicopters circling overhead and the cars filling the village entrance, they’re scared out of their wits.

Lin Wanqing rubs her belly and points at Yang Zhiyong. “Brother, this roughneck is the father of my child. Whether it’s this little patch of land or a Western-style mansion in Shanghai, he’s coming with me!”
