The Day I Died, They Were All Laughing

This was supposed to be a simple rebirth-and-revenge story:

Tear the scumbag to shreds, kick the two-faced white lotus to the curb, and maybe enjoy a sweet romance along the way.

But for some reason, the whole thing went off the rails starting in Chapter 4.

A sniper showed up.

A mysterious employer showed up.

Then came the ridiculous twist that “he was reborn too.”

And there was the melodramatic scene at the birthday banquet where he coughed up blood and collapsed while she fled in a panic.

I swear, all I wanted to write was a satisfying revenge story.

But as I kept writing, it grew into what it is now.

If you’re willing, welcome to this “out-of-control” story.

So far, the story’s blurb goes like this:

After being reborn, I buried myself with my own hands, only for him to dig me out of my grave and say we should start over.

Style: Taking down scumbags × satisfying revenge × mystery × romantic push and pull. It’s neither a straightforward revenge fantasy nor a pure tragic romance. The female lead is sharp, the male lead is obsessive and unhinged, and every supporting character is a villain, but none of them are easy to deal with.
