Short-Lived Shi Anran × Sickly Ji Ruyuan
Shi Anran had loved Ji Ruyuan since childhood. Though he had always been frail, he was there to help whenever she felt helpless. They promised to be together forever, but she never expected him to break that promise. The day before they parted, they agreed to get into City No. 1 High School together. So Shi Anran studied as hard as she could, determined to get in and go to school with him.
But fate played a cruel joke on her. In her third year of middle school, she discovered that she had a hereditary illness and would not live to see thirty. Though heartbroken, she still kept her promise and got into City No. 1 High School.
“Shi Anran, please stop avoiding me, okay?” Ji Ruyuan said, his voice hoarse and urgent, his eyes rimmed with red.
Shi Anran fell silent. She was destined to die young. How could she hold him back?
“You won't live long, and I've been frail since I was a child. A short-lived girl and a sickly boy are made for each other.”
“You'll regret this,” Shi Anran replied seriously.
If they got together, whoever was left behind would be left sadly guarding the memories they had made. She didn't want that.
“I already regret it. I regret not getting together with you sooner. Then we would have had even more wonderful memories together.”
