Dragon Raja: A Tokyo Tale With a Little Monster

Lu Mingfei never imagined that he, the perennial bottom of the class at Cassell College, would meet the most important person in his life on a rainy night in Tokyo.

Erii Uesugi, the strongest “human weapon” of the Shiki family, was also a girl who could communicate only through sticky notes and did not even understand what the world was. “Sakura is the best,” she wrote in her notebook, then took him through Akihabara’s neon lights, stood with him atop Tokyo Tower to gaze at the stars, and wrote a shared wish plaque at Sensoji Temple.

But the curse of the White King flowed in her blood, and all sides coveted her existence. When the tide of the Black Moon surged once more and Herzog’s plot came to light, Lu Mingfei tightened his grip on her hand. “This time, I won’t let anyone take my little monster away.”

When the sound of the tide rose again beneath Tokyo Tower, the good-for-nothing boy and the red-haired shrine maiden would join hands to rewrite the farewell that fate had ordained.
