When longing becomes code, can love cross the boundary between life and death?
After losing the love of his life, Lin Ruoxi, genius programmer Gu Yuan sees his life swallowed by endless darkness. One desperate early morning, he copies a piece of open-source code and uploads her chat history, photos, and voice recordings, hoping to create some semblance of comfort.

He sells everything he owns, builds a server ark, and researches forbidden technology for interfacing with consciousness. He is no longer content to talk to her through a screen. He will tear open the boundary between reality and virtuality and cross that vast, perilous river of data himself to find her on the other shore.
After unimaginable hardship, he finally arrives. Yet waiting for him on the pure white shore made of data is no familiar spirit of the dead.
The being with Lin Ruoxi’s face and memories smiles at him, its expression as clear as the morning light, and speaks the words that will utterly reshape all his obsession, fantasies, and sacrifices:
“Hello, Gu Yuan.”
“Nice to meet you. My name is... Lin Ruoxi.”
