What They Wrote

She used to be a criminal lawyer in modern society. She is familiar with how evidence is cut and she also understands how one sentence can change a person's life or death. After traveling through time, she became an unknown scribe who wrote the covenant. He does not make war plans or direct massacres, he is only responsible for making the "decision" legal, clear and unquestionable. Every covenant she wrote made a city disappear from the history books. She knew she was doing evil, but she knew it better than anyone else: If she doesn't write, someone with a cleaner, crueler hand will take over. Years later, her daughter inherited the pen. The same position, the same system, but the difference is that the daughter no longer beautifies the consequences of power. What history ultimately leaves behind is still a modified version.
