Great Tang: Gaining Attributes on the Battlefield, Starting at Xiangji Temple

In the first year of Zhide, the second year after the An Lushan Rebellion broke out.

The backbone of the Tang Empire had been shattered. Both capitals had fallen, and forty thousand Tang troops had been wiped out at Chentao Slope.

Li Cang crawled out of a pile of corpses and discovered that he had become the distant nephew of Li Siyе, the famed “General of Divine Might.”

It should have been a shield in these troubled times, but it was also a death warrant leading straight to hell.

Because he was destined to join the legendary Mo Dao Corps.

Familiar with history, Li Cang knew all too well that nine months later, south of Chang'an, a battle that would go down in history as a human meat grinder would erupt: the Battle of Xiangji Temple.

There, the Mo Dao Corps would advance like a wall, cutting down men and horses alike, with fewer than one in ten surviving.

Fortunately, he awakened the [Battlefield Looting System].

Touch a soldier who has just died to obtain [Strength Fragment +1] and [Basic Saber Technique]!

Touch a fallen fierce general to obtain [Killing Aura Art] and [Mo Dao Mastery]!

Nine months later, at Xiangji Temple.

As the Tang army's lines began to waver and Li Siyе prepared to charge into battle bare-chested, a figure like a god or demon, wielding two chipped Mo Dao, charged alone into the rebel cavalry and smashed through their ranks.

“Uncle, stand back! I'll do the chopping this time!”

From the corpse-strewn ground at Chentao Slope, to the meat grinder at Xiangji Temple, and then to the imperial throne in Luoyang.

My name is Li Cang. Cang, as in the common people.
