Reborn in 1980: A Fool? No, the Nation’s Chief Engineer!

Reborn, period setting, black technology, heavy industry, playing the pig to eat the tiger In 2024, top mechanical engineer Lu Zhou dies of overwork while solving a major lithography machine problem, only to open his eyes in 1980. He's now the “village idiot” everyone at Hongxing Machinery Factory talks about, whose father just died and whose uncle's family is trying to take everything he owns. From the start, before his father's bones have even grown cold, his vicious relatives are already trying to steal his job and his home, then send him back to the countryside to fend for himself. Just then, an exorbitantly expensive German machine tool imported by the factory breaks down. The arrogant foreign expert demands a sky-high repair fee, convinced that no one in China understands the technology. Looking at the factory workers about to lose their jobs and the machine everyone has given up on, Lu Zhou smiles. An idiot? Just watch him fix the “foreign junk” with a single wrench and break the technological blockade through reverse engineering. From repairing radios to building CNC machine tools, from a small factory on the verge of bankruptcy to a world industrial powerhouse. “I want every worker who follows me to have braised pork at every meal and a big color TV in every home!”
