In 2077, Blue Star was shrouded in "grey fog", "treachery" broke out around the world, and aberrant monsters appeared in the streets and alleys. Humanity awakened "sequence capabilities" to fight against the disaster. The sequences are clearly graded from 001 (god level) to 999 (waste level). 001-100 Is the chosen sequence, 101-500 is the ordinary combat sequence, and 501-999 is the non-combat auxiliary sequence, which is despised by the world.
There are whispers of the "Old Dominators" hidden deep in the gray mist. The more powerful the high-sequence people are, the easier it is for their minds to be polluted by secrets, and eventually become the puppets of aberrated monsters.
Protagonist
Lin Ye: Former Blue Star's top mechanical engineer, awakened in Sequence 999 when the Trouble broke out - [Logistics Maintenance]. His ability can only repair inanimate machinery/devices, and has no effect on monsters and sequence abilities. He is regarded as the most useless awakened person in mankind. He was abandoned by his former comrades and was exiled to the most dangerous "Red Mist District" by the base's top brass.
Goldfinger: [Logistics Repair] Hidden Passive - Can repair "mysterious contaminated artifacts/marks". The bodies of the old rulers and the contaminated ability cores of high-sequencers are all "broken parts to be repaired" in his eyes. Wrenches and screwdrivers are his natural weapons.
