The White Moonlight Strike System

[The heroine focuses on her ambitions, no romance, ensemble cast of women]

The System wants me to be a tragic, beautiful glimmer in the male lead’s heart.

I’m determined to become a wildfire blazing across the pages of history.

“According to the plot, you’ll die of illness at sixteen, becoming his eternal regret.”

“And then? I give my life to decorate his epic love story?”

I tore up the script.

I’ll cure my own illness.

I’ll forge my own path.

“A man’s love is too small. I want history to give me a page all to myself.”

I teach girls to read, not so they can recite poetry beneath the moon, but so they can understand land deeds and avoid being cheated.

I teach women medicine, not to please anyone, but so that when a midwife says, “Save the baby,” they can say, “No.”

The Grand Princess became my patron, the richest woman in the realm became my purse, and the wandering healer became my personal assassin.

We formed an alliance, sharing resources and facing danger together.

From a single school, to a newspaper, to a network of women spanning the realm.

Later, the male lead stood outside my school, watching it brim with women.

At last, he understood he could never claim the moonlight for himself.

Because moonlight had already fallen across the whole world.

The System asked me what I wanted.

I looked at my students, my allies, and the countless sparks I had kindled with my own hands:

“I want every woman who comes after us to look up and know this: we have always had a place beneath the heavens.”
