In the late Qing Dynasty, the princess Wanyan Qingyan and the revolutionary youth Shen Yizhen met because of the collision of the ideological trends of the times. They experienced family oppression, revolutionary crisis, misunderstanding, separation, and life and death tests. They struggled to survive in the torrent of the Revolution of 1911, and finally broke the feudal shackles and realized personal awakening and emotional destination, reflecting the historical pain of the collapse of the old order and the birth of new hope.
