Heart of the Abyss

In the third year of the Tianqi era, strange vortexes descend, awakening supernatural powers in humanity. Yet these abilities are assigned coldly ranked grades, from “Tsunami” down to “Lightweight.” Lin Ye, a bottom-tier Lightweight ability user, struggles to survive on the edge of the abyss with his seriously ill younger sister and their broken home.

During a deadly Grade D mission, he becomes a living sacrifice on an ancient altar. But as his heart is pierced, he merges with a “black drop of water” from the abyss. From that moment on, a power capable of rewriting the rules lies dormant within his weakest body.

While everyone else tries to smash the strange phenomena with brute force, he alone touches the essence of all things through observation, understanding, and resonance. He goes from controlling a single drop of water to guiding every river back into its course.

But every power comes at a price. Is the drop in his heart a gift or a curse? And what blood-soaked wound lies hidden behind the vortexes, carved into the planet itself?

Follow this Lightweight boy as he becomes a bridge between worlds and finds his own path to godhood amid the faint light of the apocalypse.
