Convincing People to Study Medicine Is a Sure Way to Get Struck by Lightning

[A medical student crashes into the cultivation world: hardcore knowledge, laid-back daily life, and a suspenseful undercover mystery. An unconventional power fantasy, with a coming-of-age heroine and no romance.]

Wan Xing, a medical student specializing in clinical medicine, was stabbed to death during her internship by a patient’s family member.

When she woke up, she found herself in the cultivation world. Her white coat had become rough hemp clothes, and her hair tie had turned into a tree branch.

Before she could figure out what was going on, she came across a young man whose heart had stopped. He was lying motionless on the ground.

The cultivators around her could only stare helplessly. “He’s stopped breathing. There’s nothing we can do.”

Wan Xing: ? Isn’t this a job for CPR?

A smooth little CPR combo later,

the young man was alive.

The onlookers stared in shock. “What kind of lost ancient secret art is this?!”

Wan Xing could only say: There isn’t even an AED here. Saving him was a medical miracle.

Before she could catch her breath, a green-robed fairy descended from the sky, grabbed her with shining eyes, and said:

“You have exceptional natural gifts, a perfect candidate for medical cultivation! Take me as your master, and I’ll provide room and board!”

As soon as she finished speaking, thunder exploded across the sky, raining down on them.

Wan Xing: ...Trying to persuade someone to study medicine gets you struck by lightning? Fairy, the lightning is striking you!

Later, she discovered that this cultivation world was a little unusual:

There are undercover agents in the sect? Wait, who else is an undercover agent?

Why is there foreign writing? Why are there witches and magic?

Why are there imperial courts and empresses?

What is the Heavenly Dao? It turns out it isn’t a god?

The sect is also full of colorful characters:

Senior Sister: You’re a soul from another world?

Second Senior Brother: You pluck the pipa strings and play the zither tune~

Third Senior Sister: Remember to miss me♡

Fourth Senior Brother: Observational knowledge: you’ve been writing for three hours.

Fifth Senior Sister: .

“Wan, as in a thousand lights in every home; Xing, as in apricot blossoms heralding spring.”
