(Alternate Setting + Transmigration + Two Male Leads, the Close-Friend Type)
Su Yan and I: one a modern man trained in science and engineering, the other a native-born poetic genius. Faced with a court monopolized by powerful clans, we chose the toughest path of all: conquering the imperial exams! The aristocratic families tried to crush us with their power, but we answered with our abilities and made them eat their words.
But when our names appeared on the honor roll, we realized the imperial exams had only been our ticket in. A general died suddenly, princes schemed against one another, and foreign enemies watched hungrily from beyond the borders. An unseen hand pushed us into the abyss.
If that was how things stood, then we would join forces and set our plans in motion, wielding the Way of Letters as our sword as we took on the players at this grand game of the world!
