Warm Sunlight Soaking to the Bone

Adapted from the short drama When the Frost and Snow Melt, Warmth Sinks to the Bone tells the story of Xixi, a girl from a poor family who suddenly falls gravely ill. The 300,000 yuan in treatment costs push her already struggling family to the brink, while her parents force smiles and scramble to raise the money. Unable to bear being a burden, the thoughtful Xixi deliberately acts like a badly behaved, inconsiderate child, using lies to hide her feelings. She even burns the certificates covering the wall, hoping her parents will stop holding on to their hopes for her. Family tensions erupt, and only when Xixi is on the verge of death do her parents find her diary and learn the lengths she went to for their sake. Their deep love moves fate itself, and Xixi miraculously returns to life. After she recovers, the family speaks openly and makes peace, and her mother brings out photos of the certificates she had secretly taken. Later, her mother becomes pregnant, giving the family something new to look forward to. Xixi vows to study medicine and help others. The family takes a portrait together, puts the photos of her certificates back on the wall, and hangs the family portrait in the middle. After enduring so much hardship, they finally find a warm and happy new beginning through love and perseverance, showing the fierce power of love among ordinary people.
