I Just Wanted to Fall in Love, but Ended Up Raising a Multiverse

Kamishiro Yu is an ordinary high school student whose greatest dream in life is to have a passionate, all-consuming romance.

Then came his mother's last words at her bedside, and the nearly withered World Tree sapling in his palm.

[Time until withering: 73 days]

He discovered the truth about the world:

Humans are natural sources of energy. Their emotions, desires, and obsessions are all “food” for the World Tree.

If humans grow stronger and the quality of their souls improves, the food becomes more nourishing.

And he is the sole master of this farm.

“Then let this world,” the boy said with a smile at the Tokyo night sky, “burn for the sake of my love story.”

This is a brutal farming competition spanning the multiverse.

Countless “farmers” are competing for planes of existence, cultivating civilizations, and harvesting souls.

The winner becomes the ruler of the multiverse.

The losers, along with their farms, become someone else's food.

“Interesting.”

The boy wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth as the shadow of the World Tree spread across the sky behind him.

Yukino Yukinoshita's crystalline kingdom unfurled on the left flank.

Chika Fujiwara's life network covered the earth.

Mikoto Misaka's thunderclouds tore open the sky.

Farther away, Kaguya Shinomiya's flames, Utaha Kasumigaoka's dreams, and Eri's creations: countless lights he had “raised” were beginning to shine.

“Looks like one love affair won't be enough.”

Facing the millions of monsters descending upon him, the countless farmers watching from afar, and the entire multiverse, he declared:

“I'm going to turn all of you into...”

“Guests at my wedding.”

[Then welcome to Kamishiro Yu's farm.]
