Transmigrating into The Smiling, Proud Wanderer as Linghu Chong’s Strategist

This is a pure wuxia story: no System, no golden finger. Lu Mingzhe wakes from a nap to find himself as Lu Dayou, an unremarkable disciple of the Huashan Sect. Familiar with the plot of The Smiling, Proud Wanderer, he only wants to survive in this world of flashing blades and clashing swords, and perhaps make up for a few regrets from the original story. Until he discovers that... Zuo Lengchan's ambition to unite the Five Mountains is tied to a secret report on Emperor Zhengde's desk; The blood spilled at Liu Zhengfeng's retirement ceremony is soaked in an edict from the court's factional struggle; Even the embroidery needle Dongfang Bubai holds atop Blackwood Cliff seems to draw the attention of the Forbidden City's deepest halls. It turns out this has never been merely a tale of martial heroes and their vendettas. It is also a game of power across the Ming Empire. The martial world is the board, the sects are the pieces, and the hand moving them is hidden within the towering palace walls. “A great hero fights for his country and its people?” Lu Mingzhe surveys the world with a hand on his sword. At court, the high officials are consumed by power struggles. In the martial world, the powerful fight and countless lives are lost. Meanwhile, war fires rage along the border, and the people are displaced. “This martial world should not be a hunting ground for the ambitious, and this realm should not be the private property of the corrupt.” From that day on, a new player joined the game atop Mount Huashan. He used the Evil-Resisting Sword Manual as bait to set Qingcheng and Songshan against each other in a deadly struggle; He seized the chance at Liu Zhengfeng's retirement ceremony to expose the Western Depot's control over the martial world; He discussed the martial way with Dongfang Bubai atop Blackwood Cliff, and gambled on the fate of the nation with Emperor Zhengde outside the Leopard House. From a Huashan disciple to the leader of the martial world; From a wandering hero to the revered Imperial Tutor. “Everyone...” He stood atop the Forbidden City, with the Five Mountains Sword Sects, the Sun Moon Order, and the heroes of the martial world behind him, and the vast realm before him. He laughed aloud and said: “Today, let us discuss what it truly means to be... proud and free in the Ming Empire.”
