Strange Tales from the Dream Pillow

The strange and uncanny are not confined to remote mountains, ancient temples, desolate graves, and wild pools.

Sometimes they lurk in the lanes and alleys of the city, in the odd angles cast by the shadows beneath the eaves; beside passersby in the bustling streets; or in that unnaturally silent moment after a storyteller snaps shut his folding fan and the hall erupts in applause.

This little book records such “strange tales.”

Some were gleaned from the drunken ramblings of old country folk; some from tiny notes wedged between the lines of damaged, forgotten manuscripts; and more still are... firsthand accounts?

Believe it or not, that’s up to you.

Remember: if one night your spine grows cold as you read, and you hear what may or may not be a knock outside the window

Remember: do not answer, do not listen, do not look back.

Just keep reading.
