When Shen Mingwei was eight, two ageless people stopped her beneath a pagoda tree and said they'd been waiting for her. Thinking they were bad people, she ran away.
Ten years later, after the college entrance exams, the same two people appeared again. "You have a special meridian. If it isn't activated, you'll die." In a daze, Shen Mingwei followed them through a rift in space to Guixu, one of the Fourteen Realms of Taixu. Sealed within her was an ancient power, the "Eye of Guixu," and her awakening was a crucial move in a game that had continued for three hundred years.
As the missing special-meridian bearers, underground crystal trees, and forbidden art known as "Puppetry" gradually came to light, she discovered that her very existence was a key. What it would open was not a door, but a vessel forged by a woman's three centuries of obsession.
The flower language of the "Wanggui" flower is: It slept for three hundred years, waiting for the right rain.
And she has never waited for someone to save her.
