Harry Potter: Roses and Cranes Among the Ashes

[Two male leads, mutual salvation, protagonist is the uke, centered on the Marauders’ era, and the protagonist is no saint]

[Theodore Nott x Ji Xianqing]

[A beautiful, strong, tragic seme who breaks free of fate x an ailing, beautiful Eastern black crane demon uke]

Can anyone escape the path fate has laid out for them?

Blood stains the hems of their clothes, and the darkness before dawn seems endless.

Again and again, thorns pierce their knees, leaving only desperate cries.

Will the Nott family’s potions prodigy ultimately be unable to escape a bleak future?

As the wheels of fate turn once more,

listen: a crane cries out in the darkness.

Content warnings:

[Theodore is the seme, Theodore is the seme, Theodore is the seme. Important things must be said three times.]

[Ji Xianqing is a demon, and his sense of good and evil differs somewhat from that of ordinary people.]

[Original male protagonist, not a transmigrator. Demons cultivate spiritual power, which is not the same as a wizard’s magic. This is original worldbuilding.]

[There will be no power-scaling issues, so read with confidence.]

[The world is based on the original books and films, plus a ton of original worldbuilding. If that’s not for you, please feel free to leave early. Don’t argue.]

[He isn’t particularly close to the main cast. He’ll use them if they’re useful, and otherwise watch coldly from the sidelines.]
