The Observer’s Edge

[Mystery + Cthulhu + Unknown Horror + Sci-Fi Apocalypse + Creator + Vast Worldbuilding + Civilizational Development + Multiverse War + Parallel Universes]

The war did not begin with fleets clashing, but with an anomalous fluctuation in a cosmic constant that existing physics could not explain. Humanity discovered that its universe was gradually destabilizing and collapsing because of the observations of some "higher being." To survive, humanity had to take the initiative, infiltrating countless parallel universes to find and "correct" the "source civilization" responsible for their world being "observed." But the truth was far darker: the so-called "source civilization" was none other than humanity itself, from a parallel timeline where a different choice of technological path had led it to transcend dimensions ahead of schedule.
