Burning Hearts: President Qin’s Cherished Darling

After a year of marriage into a wealthy family, Qin Shiyu still hadn't gotten pregnant. Her rich mother-in-law gave her a hard time every day, calling her a useless hen who couldn't lay eggs. Only after getting checked did she learn that her husband, Shen Yan, was infertile. To save face for the family, her mother-in-law actually told Qin Shiyu to find a man through a specialized agency and have a child with him. To her astonishment, even her husband agreed. Qin Shiyu was speechless and asked for a divorce. But she had married into the Shen family for a huge bride price to save her mother, and now her mother-in-law wanted it back if she divorced. With no other choice, Qin Shiyu had to accept her suggestion. The night before she was due to leave for Switzerland, Qin Che, who had never once looked her in the eye, suddenly leaned close and whispered seductively, “Wouldn't it be more exciting if you chose me to be the child's father?”

Dry tinder met a blazing flame, and dead wood met spring rain. They both lost themselves in the moment.

After that night, they kept pretending not to know each other in public, while behind closed doors they tore each other's clothes off night after night, locked in a desperate embrace.

Later, they attended a mutual friend's wedding and sat at the same table.

Right in front of everyone, Qin Che draped his coat over her shoulders, putting her in the spotlight.

Her husband glared and demanded, “Are you two close?”

Qin Shiyu replied calmly, “He's your best friend. How could we not be close?”

Qin Che said meaningfully, “That's right. We're very close.”

When Qin Shiyu became pregnant, she told Qin Che they should stop seeing each other. But he kissed her and said, “My child can't possibly call someone else Dad. Be good, divorce him and marry me.”
