The Seventh-Year Regiment Leader: A Spicy Mom's Life Raising Kids with the Army

Lin Xiuning woke up one morning, having gone from a master's degree in nutrition to becoming a military wife in 1975.

Faced with a malnourished child, a husband who was a regiment commander and treated her like a stranger, and a home with nothing but bare walls, she calmly rolled up her sleeves as a spiritual spring space quietly appeared in her palm.

Raising a child? With modern scientific parenting and the spiritual spring's nourishment, she would turn her frail little one into the smartest, healthiest model child in the entire compound.

Running a household? She made delicious dishes out of coarse grains, filling the compound with the aroma of savory sauces. Starting as a helper in the family dining hall, she went on to run the service cooperative, leading the military wives to build a thriving life together.

As for Commander Lu, who had started out as cold as ice toward her...

Later, his eyes red, he pinned her against the wall. "Wife, the greatest medal of merit I've ever earned in this life is marrying you."

This is a story about love, growth, and warm, steadfast devotion, quietly blossoming in simple yet vibrant times.
