Climbing the Steps to Heaven

An ordinary mortal's life reaches no farther than the three feet of yellow earth before his eyes. With a single thought, a cultivator can roam the Nine Heavens and the Starry River.

Lian Yu is a menial disciple who has failed his tests for five years running, yet deep inside him is a heart that has lived through two lifetimes and refuses to be trapped in the dust.

When fate presents its opportunity, a mysterious ancient lamp enters his body. From then on, he swallows the sun and moon and refines the universe.

Enemies who oppress him, schemes within his sect, a partner who betrays him: all become whetstones on his road to immortality.

He doesn't seek eternal life or carefree freedom. He only wants to break free of the limits imposed by the words “ordinary mortal.”

He will fly higher than anyone else, to see the sunrise above the sea of clouds and explore the farthest reaches of the Starry River.

This path is called cultivation to immortality.
