(The main story and bonus chapters are complete.)
A Xie Yuchen-focused story. The early and middle parts have little overlap with the original; there will be a section that crosses over later on.
Xie Yuchen, head of the Xie family of the Nine Gates, meets a clingy sweetheart who falls for him at first sight, struggles to put words together, and has little guile.
In Deqin County, Yunnan, in the southern part of the Hengduan Mountains, Xie Yuchen found a man whose stunning beauty seemed to have fallen from the heavens. His face was even more beautiful than a brilliant begonia, the most exquisite work of the Creator.
But beneath that flawless face lay the loneliness of someone who had spent over a decade imprisoned, never seeing daylight. His shattered ability to communicate made it difficult for him to speak normally with Xie Yuchen, and his frank affection made him cling tightly to the man's hand, refusing to let go.
From then on, people noticed a little shadow had suddenly appeared behind the head of the Xie family. Wherever Xie Yuchen went, the shadow followed without missing a step, clinging to him and cooing for cuddles. Once Xie Yuchen finally gave in, he would hold the man in his arms and murmur something softly, earning a smile from the beautiful man and a bashful kiss on the cheek.
