Under the guidance of their mysterious senior brother, Wukong and his talented, self-interested junior brothers form a “superficial investigation team” and set out to uncover the cover-up behind the books. They must contend with demons and monsters in magical battles, while also taking on the entrenched powers of Heaven and Spirit Mountain in contests of money, influence, and intelligence. Through a succession of absurd traps and twists, they close in on the ultimate truth, the one that leaves all the gods and Buddhas trembling in silence.
