Li Xinggen, an outer-sect disciple of the Qingyun Sect with mediocre aptitude, accidentally awakens the ancient treasure known as the Covenant of All Spirits, and from then on embarks on a path to defy fate and change his life. The covenant token can contain spirit beings from across the world. He successively befriends eleven companions, including Ziyao, the remnant soul of a thunder spirit; Liu Qingyan, a young woman with a medicine spirit root; and Shi Li, a space-time spirit. By using the Way of Symbiosis to fuse the power of all spirits, he unleashes a storm across the world of cultivation.
As the rifts of the demon race reappear and the Black Fiend Sect schemes in secret, Li Xinggen and his companions battle Golden Core cultivators and defeat Nascent Soul experts, turning the tide with the united voices of all spirits. At the Dao-Seeking Platform, he comprehends the source of all the Great Ways. He seals the Entropy Demon in a space-time rift, then ultimately breaks down the barriers between the two realms with the power of Unity of All Worlds and reshapes the laws of heaven and earth.
This is a story of bonds and growth: from a frail mortal to the master of countless worlds, from walking alone to standing shoulder to shoulder with eleven companions. Through his actions, Li Xinggen shows that true strength lies not in devouring all spirits, but in protecting every light worthy of reverence. When all the Great Ways return to their source, I myself become the Immortal Sect!
