I've wanted to write a biography of my mother for a long time, but one thing after another kept getting in the way. Now I've finally made up my mind to record her life.
Mother raised my siblings and me through countless hardships. Her life was full of sorrow and struggle, and it was far from easy. The traditional virtues of Chinese women, such as gentleness, kindness, diligence, courage, independence, and strength, are all fully embodied in her. I dedicate this book to my mother. May she enjoy good health and a long life, blessed with happiness as vast as the Eastern Sea and longevity as enduring as the Southern Mountains.
