On the ancient Desolate Sacred Continent, humans, demons, and devils have long coexisted. Ten thousand years ago, a scrap of paper casually written by the Divine Venerable was tossed into the lower realm and became known as the Heavenly Dao Page. The demons and devils fought over it, leaving both sides badly wounded. During this time, the human prodigy Lu Sheng emerged, attaining the Great Encompassment Realm in just three thousand years. By a twist of fate, he obtained the page. When the demons and devils learned of it, they began an endless pursuit, during which countless Golden Immortals fell, yet they still could not stop him. After he was gravely wounded and his friend Yao Sheng betrayed him, Yao Sheng was suppressed. Lu Sheng learned that to reach the Divine Realm, one had to attain the Quasi-Sage stage within three thousand years; otherwise, that realm would remain forever out of reach. So after being killed by an impostor, he turned the tables and became a soul, giving himself the chance to cultivate anew. To fulfill his and Yao Sheng’s wish to slay the gods, he resolved to rebuild his forces, shatter the heavens, and ultimately become a god!
