Tongtian of the Jie Sect regains his memories of the Investiture of the Gods calamity in Biyou Palace. When his elder brothers turn on him in Zixiao Palace and the Dao Ancestor shows favoritism, he angrily severs the karmic ties binding the Three Pure Ones and gives up his position as a Saint. With a supreme treasure bestowed by the System, the Chaos Bell as his proof, and a Primordial Dao Pill as his catalyst, he attains the Primordial Daluo Golden Immortal again in the Eastern Sea. He vows to protect the Jie Sect, reverse the calamity, and usher in a new age for the primordial world.
