Aside from survival supplies, my backpack contained only a copy of the Tour Guide Handbook, with a bloodstain as its bookmark:
[Rule 1] You must lead at least five tourists into the forest each day. The tour must last no less than four hours.
[Rule 2] Before setting out, confirm the number of people in the group. If it is an even number, immediately ask Xiong Er for a jar of “special honey” and have a randomly selected tourist drink it. Continue until the group has an odd number again.
[Rule 3] Tourists must wear the forest badges provided for the entire tour. If you find someone whose badge has come off, smear pine resin on them and guide them to the “rest bench.” Do not let them continue with the group.
