[Feng Shui and mysticism + urban suspense + Republican-era secrets + modern supernatural tales + cultural heritage + Lovecraftian Chinese fantasy + ensemble character growth] By day, he delivers takeout; by night, he puts haunted houses to rest. He thought this was all his life would ever be, until a delivery to “No. 44 Wutong Lane” opened the door to another world.

Lin Yi, 25, is one of countless food delivery riders in Jiangcheng. Few know that this young man, who hustles for five-star reviews, is the direct grandson of Lin Zhengfeng, a renowned geomancer from the Republican era. A Yin-gathering evil artifact from the Republican era, a list of dead people “resurrected” in the archives, an ancient well chained shut deep beneath the subway... One bizarre incident after another comes to light, piecing together a startling truth:

Beneath Jiangcheng lies a world-shaking seal that has held for eighty years. And now, it is weakening.
