Yun Shuyao has the delicate, innocent look of a pure-hearted beauty, with a springlike gaze and an air of fragility. In truth, she’s a master schemer with top-tier green-tea skills. She’s an expert at seducing men, never gives them a shred of genuine feeling, and only fishes for the most powerful and influential elites.
At a lavish party hosted by a top-tier family, she pretends to twist her ankle in her slender high heels and collapses, boneless, into Fu Jingshen’s arms. With tears in her eyes, she bites her lip and murmurs, “Mr. Fu, I’m sorry to trouble you for support.” The decisive business tycoon’s heart instantly softens, and he shields her in front of everyone, not even letting others get close.
Later, when she offers tea to the Lu family’s young master, her fingertips tremble slightly and her eyes redden as she thanks him. The arrogant Young Master Lu immediately clears his schedule and insists on driving her home. Even the most ascetic physician, Qin Yanzhi, makes an exception, gently coaxing her after she says, “Dr. Qin, I’m afraid of shots,” and even personally delivers special medication to her door.
In less than one evening, she has quietly hooked the capital’s most distinguished big shots.
Her jealous stepsister, Jiang Yurou, flies into a rage and points at her in public, cursing, “You green-tea bitch, all you know how to do is act pitiful and seduce men!” Her scummy ex also shamelessly comes crawling back to beg for another chance, and even tries to grab her wrist.
Before Yun Shuyao can even raise a hand, Fu Jingshen snaps, “Slap her!” and has his bodyguards drag Su Yurou away. Young Master Lu immediately orders all business ties with the scumbag’s family severed, driving them into bankruptcy overnight. Qin Yanzhi coolly adds, “Harassing my patient is punishable by law.” The three of them join forces to put the despicable pair in their place, leaving them kneeling in humiliation and stripped of all dignity.
Everyone else assumes she’ll choose one man to rely on, but Yun Shuyao smiles with a knife behind her teeth. Can true love really be a ticket into high society? She’d rather be the treasured darling of all the big shots!
Note: The heroine originally used her father’s surname, Jiang, but changed to her mother’s surname, Yun, after a car accident.
The writing is delicate and healing, and the plot gets better and better as you go on. I want to read it again after watching it. Highly recommended! 💕💕💕
