A cross-dimensional horror reality show called Infinite Heartbeat randomly selects ordinary participants to enter all kinds of terrifying challenge worlds. Those who clear a challenge win enormous prize money, while those who fail are trapped there forever. The heroine, Su Xiao, is a former esports champion who retired after a hand injury. Forced to compete to pay her younger brother's medical bills, she discovers that she seems to have a special talent: she can see the "loopholes in the rules" of each challenge.
After joining the show, Su Xiao gradually uncovers a vast, cross-dimensional conspiracy behind it. Each challenge world is a real parallel universe, and the producers are manipulating the participants' lives and deaths to harvest a certain kind of energy. Along the way, Su Xiao meets a mysterious teammate, Lu Chen, who is actually a cross-dimensional agent investigating the matter. Together, they expose the truth, bring down the show's producers, and ultimately free the countless participants trapped inside.
