Red Fire Burns the Sky: Traveling Back to the Age of Awakening to See History

This work will take you on a journey of China's awakening. Chen Yanqing, a PhD student in history in 2023, touched a copy of "Youth Magazine" (the predecessor of "New Youth") with his fingertips while editing footnotes in the library, and was instantly thrown back to the Red Building of Peking University in 1915. He is not a prophet with a golden finger, but an "old soul" with memories of the future, falling into a turbulent era when the "new youth" are questioning the world with their blood. To him, history is no longer a safe document, but the assailant coal smoke, the biting cold wind, the muffled sound of friends around him being knocked down by military police sticks, and the silent burning flame behind Mr. Li Dazhao's lenses. He knows every turbulent wave and reef in the land under his feet in the next thirty years, but this "knowing" is as important as a thousand stones. He cannot predict, cannot pull out seedlings, and can only choose the most difficult path - to become a "firewood" and a "fire translator". He shuttled between the intense ideological debates in the Peking University classroom and the hardships of the oil pollution in Changxindian Railway Factory, "translating" the fire of truth of the "Communist Manifesto" into a blood and tear ledger that the workers could understand. He personally experienced the shouts on the May 4th Street, the disillusionment and awakening of the work-study mutual aid group, and finally secretly went south, becoming a silent guardian, and personally experienced the red boat in Nanhu in the drizzle.
