Ink Slaughter: The Frail Scholar Swears to Slay the Gods

Inkslayer: The Frail Scholar Who Swore to Slay the Gods This is a world where “vows” are the law, and breaking one means death. I, Lu Wenxin, am a poor scholar, bedridden with illness and too weak to harm a chicken. Yet I was born carrying a curse called the “Judge’s Bone.” It lets me see through every lie and weigh every vow in the world, and lets me call upon the scales to deliver “equitable” punishment to oathbreakers. I make my living this way, weighing people’s hearts on the fringes of the mortal world, until one night, a bloodstained ancient inkstone draws forth something that should never have appeared. Blood ink floods the heavens, and the Corridor of No Return opens. Monstrous incarnations of twisted laws seek to drag me into an abyss where every vow has utterly collapsed. At the brink of despair, I meet her: Shen Moyan, heir to an ancient mirror. She is as cool and clear as the moon, yet her eyes reflect a secret that shares its roots with mine. Then there is a madman known as the “Gambler,” an ink demon who calls us “key” and “mirror” and forces us to sign a contract that stakes our lives. From then on, I am dragged into a deadly wager spanning three hundred years. The decaying legacy of the “Inkkeepers,” the ghostly organization “Shadow Pact,” bound by absolute contracts, the “Blood Pact Alliance,” which pursues immortality through twisted vows... Forces from every side circle us like hyenas. And I, the “Judge’s Bone,” the person who least deserves to be alive in this world, am forced to share my life with her, the bearer of the Mirror Mark. We depend on each other to survive amid curses and pursuit. They all say the ancient “Heavenly Oath” has collapsed, and that gods and demons are nothing but fiction. But when I wield my brush as a blade, dipping it into the blood of my heart and the ink of my mind, and inscribe the first true meaning of the “Sword of Law” between heaven and earth Every evil spirit wails, and the twisted laws shatter inch by inch before my eyes. A frail scholar can slay gods with a vow!
